Before you get in touch
What people ask in the first email.
Is there a minimum term?
No. Retainers are monthly and you can stop at the end of any month. There is no setup fee and no notice period beyond the month you are in.
What happens if I do not use the hours?
They roll over once, so a quiet month is not money burnt. They do not accumulate indefinitely, because that would mean I could not plan capacity.
Do you work with my software?
Almost certainly. If it is genuinely unusual I will say so before you commit, and I will learn it on my time rather than yours.
Will I always get you?
Yes. I do not subcontract and I cap the client list at nine so that I can still remember how everybody likes things done.
Can you handle money?
Invoicing, chasing and reconciliation, yes. I do not hold banking credentials or make payments, which protects both of us.
What clients say

After two months I stopped explaining anything. That is the whole product.
★★★★★
She told me a cheap piece of software would replace four of my hours a month. It did, and my retainer went down.
★★★★★
The invoice chasing alone pays for the retainer twice over.
★★★★★
Only works weekdays, which is fair and occasionally inconvenient.
